It’s always nice to welcome March, longer days and milder weather are on the way!
The flip side, of course, is that warmer temperatures mean it’s time to close the rink for the season. It’s never an easy decision, even though it happens around this time every year.
We were incredibly lucky this winter, opening early on December 5 and enjoying a record 55 days of ice! A huge thank you to Jeff Cormier, our dedicated ice master, who spent countless hours making sure the rink and facilities were ready each day. And thank you as well to everyone who grabbed a shovel after a snowfall or helped clear the ice at the end of the night, your support never goes unnoticed, and we truly appreciate it. And to everyone who came out this season to use the facilities, thank you for making it all worthwhile.
February was also a highlight as we partnered with the Town of Shediac for Frosty Fun Night during the Shediac Winter Carnival. With beautiful weather, a fantastic turnout, great food and plenty of fun to be had, it was a wonderful evening. Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate, we can’t wait to do it again next year!

Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser - Army Cadet Corps 1535
The Pointe-du-Chêne Recreation and Community Center is proud to be home to the 1535 Army Cadet Corps, a program that promotes strong values, builds life skills, and develops leadership.
Join the Cadets on Saturday, March 21 at 5:00 p.m. for a spaghetti supper! Visit our event page for details and ticket information.
Zumba Classes: Two sessions each week, Monday and Tuesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. Jess and Kierra will lead Monday nights, while Jocelyne takes over on Tuesdays.

Shediac Acoustic Jammers: Jam sessions every Thursday at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome to join in or just enjoy the music.
Shediac Playgroup: Every Monday morning at 10:00 a.m., promoting family well-being by offering bilingual programs, services, and resources for children and families from pre-birth to age 6.
