And just like that, May has arrived! A sure sign that summer isn’t far off, cottages are shedding their shutters, traffic is picking up (especially to the beach and wharf), and there’s that unmistakable feeling that warmer days are on the way.
So, what’s happening at the Centre?
On April 30th, we said a temporary farewell to the Shediac Acoustic Jammers. A huge thank you to Ken and Linda Gould for bringing this wonderful weekly event to life. This was their second year at the Centre, and it’s been a joy welcoming so many people to celebrate music in all its forms. We wish the Jammers a fantastic summer and look forward to their return in the fall!
As the weather warms up and we spend more time outdoors, the Centre has plenty to offer:

Zumba Classes: Two sessions each week, Monday and Tuesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. Jess and Kierra will lead Monday nights, while Jocelyne takes over on Tuesdays.

Shediac Playgroup: Every Monday morning at 10:00 a.m., promoting family well-being by offering bilingual programs, services, and resources for children and families from pre-birth to age 6.

- A splash pad (opening once the warm weather settles in)
- Our outdoor rink, perfect for ball hockey or basketball (with new nets coming soon!)
- Open green space for softball or soccer, plus two soccer nets provided by the Town of Shediac (nets located by the rink shack)
